I’m a Recovery Coach and mum of 2 boys, I am based in Maidstone, Kent. I’m in long term recovery from Heroin and alcohol.
I am a qualified Counsellor and Accredited member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society, I also work online as a therapist for Better Help and have a private practice (Zoe Revell Counselling – didn’t take long to think of that name 🤣)
I have a passion for working with women and young people. Those that struggle with addiction, ADHD, self-esteem, anxiety, chronic pain and depression.
I use my lived experience of all these issues and Recovery Coach training to work with understanding and empathy and have been told I’m not like a ‘normal counsellor’. When intrigued by this after the third time of hearing it I was told that I “don’t judge or react and make me feel I can talk to you about anything”. (This is what it’s all about.) I believe in giving something of myself withing boundaries as I didn’t want someone just silent with no personality when I was in treatment.
I share my experience in a professional way that encourages honesty and shows empathy and no judgement. I am client led and work with various approaches depending on the clients wants and needs.
