I went in to the Recovery Lodge in February 2018. After 10 years of substance misuse and being hopelessly addicted to alcohol and ketamine, I made the decision after years of trying, that I could not quit by myself and required professional help. I can safely say it is the best decision that I have made in my life.
I entered the Recovery Lodge physically and mentally broken, believing I may never beat my addiction and this was the last chance for me. I was extremely anxious on arrival but all of the members of staff, as well as the other clients made me feel at ease and I felt I was in the right place to get the help I so desperately needed. I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff members, from the owners, office staff, key workers to the highly experienced therapists who helped me so much during my stay there.
The Recovery Lodge will always be a special place to me, I cannot fault anything about my stay there, it provided me with a comfortable, safe place, away from the external pressures of every day life to be detoxed and to be able to focus on myself and my issues.
